Finding an Irish Wolfhound is a difficult and somewhat tedious business. A reputable breeder will look at you with concern because he or she is very concerned about their puppy for the life of the dog. On the other hand, a reputable breeder will be there for you no matter what happens, for the life of the dog. It is sort of like a lifetime extended service agreement. A breeder that advertises is easy to find, but may be more intersted in selling puppies than in their long term health and safety, and thus might not be there to help you if you need it. You should be as careful in picking a breeder as they are in picking you.

In the interim:
Go to the website of the Irish Wolfhound Club of America, and
Look up your state's breed contact,
and talk to the Irish Wolfhound Rescue Contact for you state as there might be a rescue wolfhound available.

(you can always return to the Hounds of Heaven by clicking on any of the Heavenly Dogs on the top banner.)

IF you live within an 8 hour drive of Lansing, MI (Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, Illinois, and most of Pennsylvania and New York) and want to know more about the possibility of a puppy or yearling puppy from the Hounds of Heaven, write us an email. Be sure to sign your note and tell us a little about yourself and in what city and state, or zip you live. Include a phone number if you would like a call back. Most call backs are made between 9 and 10 on M-Th and who knows when on F-Sa.
