Journal: Week four...
I like to eat your nose...
The puppies have grown from little things that "walk" drunkenly to big
puppies that run and jump (sort of). They are play fighting and even making little tiny growls and barks. The two puppies arguing below are Aoife (orange girl, the larger), and Maeve (red girl, the smaller), strong spirits both!
The base of the whelping box is actually a hard plastic truck bed liner, complete with humps for the wheels. One of the puppies' favorite things to do is to climb the humps to sleep. At any time, a given hump might have two puppies in residence, one pointed down and one pointed up!
The puppies have reached the stage where you can almost see them get larger when they stretch. They are all growing well and putting on lots of weight. See the difference in size between this picture of the litter nursing and the one from the first day.
